The lawmaker representing Akinyele Constituency 1 at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Abiola Olalekan Monsur, has been honoured with an Award of Excellence by the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Zone 4, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to education and community development. The prestigious award was presented during the End-of-the-Year Christmas Carol and Award Presentation Ceremony held at the TESCOM Zone 4 headquarters in Orogun, Ibadan.

Hon. Abiola Olalekan Monsur was unavoidably absent at the ceremony but was duly represented by notable party stakeholders, including the PDP Ward 6 Chairman, Alhaji Ganiyu Isiaka; the PDP Akinyele Local Government Woman Leader, Mrs. Olabode Kemi Stella; and his Media Aide, Ogundipe Oluwaseyi Multi. Their presence underscored the lawmaker’s strong connection with grassroots leaders and party faithful within Akinyele Local Government.

Speaking at the event, the Zonal Head of TESCOM, Mrs. Alamu, revealed that several public office holders were invited to the ceremony but did not honour the invitation. She, however, singled out Hon. Abiola Olalekan Monsur for special commendation, describing him as a highly responsive and dependable public servant who consistently shows concern for educational advancement and institutional growth.

According to Mrs. Alamu, the Award of Excellence was carefully bestowed on Hon. Abiola in recognition of his remarkable support for educational services, teachers’ welfare, and community-focused initiatives that have positively impacted schools and residents across Akinyele Local Government. She noted that such commitment to education remains vital to the future development of Oyo State.

The award presentation further reaffirmed Hon. Abiola Olalekan Monsur’s reputation as a people-oriented legislator whose passion for education and community development continues to yield meaningful results. Stakeholders at the event expressed confidence that his continued partnership with educational institutions and relevant agencies will further strengthen learning outcomes and promote sustainable development in Akinyele Constituency 1 and beyond.
