My people of Akinyele Constituency 1, I speak today not just as a son of the soil, but as one of you, someone who has walked the same roads, felt the same struggles, and shared in the same hopes for a better tomorrow.

For years, we have waited, we have endured, we have hoped. Yet, too many of our dreams remain unmet. Our youths are searching for opportunities, our women are striving for support, and our communities are longing for true representation.

For a long time, I reflected deeply, I asked myself hard questions and I came to one truth: If we truly desire change, then some of us must rise to make it happen. Today, I refuse to watch from the sidelines any longer. That is why today, with humility in my heart and courage in my spirit, *I, Kayode Dolapo Ejidiran of Ward 5, declare my intention to serve the good people of Akinyele Constituency 1 under the vision of *Itura 2027*, a movement of restoration, progress, and purposeful leadership.

Itura 2027 is more than a name, it is a promise of renewal. A promise that our youths will not be forgotten, but empowered. A promise that our women will not just survive, but thrive. A promise that every ward, every community, and every voice will count.

I am stepping forward because I cannot ignore the reality we face. I am stepping forward because I believe Akinyele deserves a leader who will not be distant, but present, not silent, but vocal, not self-serving, but people-driven. I am stepping forward because I believe our constituency deserves better representation, better opportunities, and a leadership that listens, feels, and acts.

Let us build a constituency we will all be proud of. Let us create a future where our children will look back and say, “They chose courage. They chose change.”
