The commissioning of the new PDP Secretariat in Oyo State has gone beyond celebration; it has drawn a clear line between collective party growth and narrow internal ambitions.

Under Governor Seyi Makinde, the PDP has chosen to invest in shared institutions that belong to all members, not informal power centres that serve a few.

At a time when some voices within the party are more focused on positioning and internal leverage, the new secretariat stands as a reminder that the strength of the PDP lies in structure, order, and loyalty to the people’s mandate.

Engr. Toheeb Adegoke described the development as a timely statement of direction, noting that Governor Makinde’s leadership continues to prioritise the party over personalities.

According to him, the Makinde-led PDP in Oyo is sending a subtle but firm message: the future belongs to those committed to unity, discipline, and institution-building.

While internal debates are inevitable in any strong party, the secretariat symbolizes where real authority now resides, in leadership that builds for tomorrow rather than schemes for today.
