The Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon Akinwole Akinleye, has called on Nigerians to take advantage of the ongoing Ramadan and Lenten seasons to pray fervently for the peace, unity, and progress of Nigeria and Oyo State.

Hon. Akinwole Akinleye made this call while speaking with newsmen during the annual Ramadan lecture organized by the Omituntun Benedict Forum, held recently in Ibadan.

According to the Akinyele council boss, both Ramadan and Lent represent sacred periods of spiritual reflection, sacrifice, and renewed commitment to God. He urged Nigerians across religious divides to use the opportunity to pray for leaders at all levels and for divine guidance in the affairs of the nation.

He noted that Nigeria is in need of sincere prayers and collective support from citizens, emphasizing that spiritual devotion during this period can contribute significantly to national peace, stability, and development.

Hon.Akinwole Akinleye also encouraged Nigerians to promote love, tolerance, and unity among different religious and ethnic groups, stressing that peaceful coexistence remains essential for national progress.

He further commended the organizers of the lecture for consistently creating a platform that promotes spiritual growth and encourages citizens to reflect on the importance of faith in nation building.

The annual Ramadan lecture by the Omituntun Benedict Forum attracted political leaders, religious scholars, community stakeholders, and party faithful from across the state who gathered to pray for the continued peace and development of Oyo State and Nigeria.
