The Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC), Oyo State Chapter, is gearing up for its much-awaited Youth Leadership Lecture Series and Heroes Award 2025, slated for December 30, 2025. The event, designed to spotlight outstanding contributions, inspire young leaders, and showcase excellence, will gather influential personalities and rising youth across the state.

In preparation, a pivotal meeting was convened on November 18, 2025, led by the State Chairman, Comr. Abdulfatai A. Olagbenro (Legacy). Present were key officials, including the State Legal Adviser, Barr. Khalid Badrudeen Esq.; State Secretary, Comr. Animasaun Adekola; and Vice Chairman (Oyo Central), Comr. Kazeem Bojuwole.

Following the meeting, the leadership team visited esteemed mentor and community pillar, Alhaji Mudashir Dayo Ogunsola, to update him on plans and seek his wise counsel. It was also revealed that Alhaji Ogunsola will be honoured as a Patron of the Oyo State Chapter of the Nigerian Youth Congress during the event, in recognition of his remarkable impact on youth empowerment and leadership growth.

Reiterating the importance of unity and active youth participation, Comr. Legacy noted, “Collaboration is key, together, we will deliver an event that will inspire greatness and ignite the passion of our youth.”

The 2025 Youth Leadership Lecture Series and Heroes Award is expected to draw respected dignitaries, vibrant youth leaders, and students from within and outside Oyo State, fostering a culture of leadership, excellence, and community advancement.
