The Oyo State Forum of Local Government Chiefs of Staff, through its Public Relations Officer, Hon. Aderinwale Adeyemi, has expressed heartfelt congratulations to the Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, and his esteemed wife, Engr. Mrs. Tamunominini Olufunke Makinde, on their recent honor of being named Aare Omoluabi and Yeye Aare Omoluabi of Akure Kingdom. This prestigious title was conferred upon them by His Royal Majesty, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, the Deji of Akure.

In a statement released to the media through the forum’s PRO, Hon. Adeyemi described this recognition as a “remarkable and well-deserved acknowledgment” of Governor Makinde’s enduring legacy of service, exemplary leadership, and unwavering commitment to the values of Omoluabi.

“Governor Seyi Makinde truly embodies the essential virtues celebrated by the Yoruba people, including integrity, courage, wisdom, and compassion,” Hon. Adeyemi stated. “This new chieftaincy title from the revered Deji of Akure underscores his character and serves as a testament to the positive influence he continues to exert through his people-oriented governance.”

Hon. Adeyemi emphasized that the Governor’s impact extends beyond the political arena and geographical boundaries, resonating with traditional institutions and citizens across Yorubaland and Nigeria at large.

“The strides made by His Excellency in education, infrastructure, healthcare, and economic development are commendable. However, it is his humility, visionary leadership, and focus on the people that truly distinguish him,” he added.

Additionally, he extended special congratulations to Engr. Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, the First Lady of Oyo State, on her recognition as Yeye Aare Omoluabi of Akure Kingdom, praising her elegance, grace, and significant contributions to the well-being of women, children, and families.

“Her Excellency, the First Lady, has consistently stood as a strong pillar of support for her husband and is a symbol of compassion and resilience in her own right. This recognition is well-deserved and reflects the dignity and value she brings to both public service and family life,” he remarked.

According to the PRO, the title Aare Omoluabi, which translates to “Champion of Honourable Virtue,” represents more than just a ceremonial honor. It encapsulates a leadership philosophy rooted in cultural values and ethical integrity.

“This title not only reaffirms their dedication to serving the people but also solidifies their role as unifying figures within Yorubaland. We take great pride in collaborating with such visionary and principled leadership,” Hon. Aderinwale Adeyemi concluded.
